Coming from a player who is a somewhat advanced (I’ve been studying jazz extensively for the past 11 years) after having studied with some true masters and educators of jazz guitar, both collegiately and privately, Matt’s EBook and website always provide me with new concepts I have yet to study and integrate into my own playing .He covers everything from bebop and swing to Latin and “modern” jazz guitar techniques. Godbless the internet and modern technology for allowing him to share his knowledge and wisdom and Godbless guys like Matt-even though he is a mentor of mine, he always treats me as his peer, and ALWAYS answers any questions I have about music. He never fails to stimulate my mind and whet my musical appetite to want to get more articulate and exrpessive (“better) and more knowledgeable in jazz, as I have dedicated my life to the artform.

  11. John, August 4, 2013:

    Hi,
I’ve been playing for about 9 years, mostly teaching myself, and there are many things I’m missing. I would like to fill in all the gaps sub as learning and mastering the fretboard better, knowing scales better, and have a better ear. As well as all the other things needed to become a great guitarist. However, I’m not a jazz guitarist. In more of a blues and classic rock guitarist. I’m not sure if that makes a difference to you, but I would be very interested in lessons.

    Thanks,
    John

If you reached this page (as I did a few months back) and are evaluating whether or not you should take lessons from Matt – there is no reason to hesitate.

I have been taking lessons from Matt for a few months now and it’s been a phenomenal experience. Matt has a talent of blending what I seek to learn with what he thinks I should learn.

You can find a lot of positive feedback about Matt’s teaching style. Very positive – very encouraging, yet inspiring you to deepen your knowledge and skills.

Even though you will see these positive comments throughout the web, I thought it may be helpful for you to see the comment right here on the page where you may be evaluating that decision.

Contact Matt and set up your first lesson – you will be happy with the results!
